Matthew Monaghan CEO
The Franchise Council of Australia has appointed a new CEO, helping ensure that the franchising community retains a strong voice on the national stage.
Matthew Monaghan is joining the FCA today. Matthew brings 20 years of experience working in and leading peak membership bodies across a number of diverse sectors. He has previously served as CEO of the Australian Childcare Alliance Victoria, and CEO of Chiropractic Australia. He has also held senior leadership roles with Carers Victoria, the Australian College of Nurse Practitioners, the Institute of Public Administration Australia and the Victorian Ombudsman.
Matthew is a Fellow of the Governance Institute, holds an MBA and recently completed executive studies with Saiid Business School at the University of Oxford, on business innovation, disruption and digital transformation.
The FCA welcomes Mr Monaghan as it prepares to constructively engage with the Federal Government on the upcoming review of the Franchising Code of Conduct. As part of this process, the FCA will highlight the numerous challenges faced by the nearly 100,000 franchised businesses across Australia and outline how policy reform can help drive job creation and business growth.
