Elden Ring: DLC Called Shadow Of The Erdtree Has Been Announced
Several days ago, I was considering when Elden Ring would announce its DLC intentions to you. Because it continues to be one year and four days because it was released on February 25, 2022, and it is sales reach 20 million.
Well, such a magic number annually and four days is. FromSoftware also posted a brand new post on social networking yesterday. In the post, it announces for you a DLC for Elden Ring called Shadow from the Erdtree.
DLC itself is one of the "expansion" categories. According to the developer, you will see many things. Usually, for smaller DLCs, expansion is a more important step, also it refers to adding some important content. In this regard, I am very curious if the content is a $40 content and what content it'll add.
This photo is our only clue. According to the name around the photo above, it's Shadow from the Erdtree. This describes those giant trees all around the map, also it can be expanded afterward as well.
Erdtree within this photo looks charred, broken, and molten. Given the events from the game, it doesn't surprise us. Because this DLC won't happen using the main story, but following the main storyline.
In this landscape, you will find unidentifiable ruins, that is like a field, filled with ghostly tombstones. While not actual ghosts, the tombstones are like ghosts.
Then, in the photo, you can observe a character with blond hair looking very lonely in the back. It is dressed up in white and it is riding a horned horse. I guess this horned horse ought to be Torrent. In my opinion, maybe it's a player Tarnished character since you can make it seem like any character you would like. However, it's also entirely possible that it is a DLC NPC. Because it's about this photo of DLC, implies that it's a specific amount of importance towards the stories that FromSoftware makes. However, because the horned horse it rides appears to be Torrent, I thought it could just be the ball player. Later, I took a closer inspection and I was convinced that Miquella was riding Torrent.
We know hardly any about the expansion announced yesterday, including when it'll be released. Right now, we simply know it's "in development," but we do not know its release date or time window. I guess that it ought to be released around the holiday of 2023 at the earliest. By convention, FromSoft announced DLC for past games also it didn't take enough time until the discharge of DLC, usually just a few months. However, my gut tells me that Elden Ring's DLC this time is going to be more ambitious compared to the ones released before. Considering the relatively massive Elden Ring itself, its DLC must spend more time to create. So, we will never necessarily have the ability to see it until 2024.
But, I'm glad they finally said something about DLC. Before, I always wondered when they didn't plan to create Elden Ring DLC, but considered Armored Core. For example, Sekiro never had DLC. For this type of large version, since it continues to be a guarantee previously, this matter is not certain. However, I'm glad they did it this time around. I really can't wait to experience it, and I'm sure you can too.
