ACNH 2022 December Update - New Events, Seasonal Items, DIYs Recipes & More
The arrival of December means the end of the year and the beginning of another year. Whether it is in real life or in Animal Crossing New Horizons, December is a month to look forward to, because we can not only see beautiful snow scenes but also can participate in Christmas, New Year's Eve, and other activities. In today's guide, we bring you everything from Animal Crossing 2022 December events, items, DIY recipes, and changes.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2022 December Events
Toy Day (December 24)
On December 24th, Jingle will come to our island for Toy Day 2022 event, where we will have the opportunity to use magic bags to send gifts to all of our villagers. During this period, if we complete the event, we can also get special rewards from Jingle. There's no real preparation required for this event, you can join on the day, and we'll also be able to buy Toy Day set items at Nook's Cranny from December 1st to 25th.
New Year's Eve (December 31)
On December 31st, the last day of the year, a giant countdown timer will appear in the Plaza to celebrate the coming New Year. On this day, Isabelle and Tom Nook will celebrate outdoors with free gifts and limited-time ACNH Bells. At 11 o'clock in the evening, is time for villagers to participate in the countdown to the New Year.
Winter Solstice (December 15 - December 22)
In Animal Crossing, the Winter Solstice and Summer Solstice can be celebrated from December 15th to December 22nd, depending on your hemisphere, and some items can be obtained from the Nook Stop. These include Midwinter Sweaters, Aurora Walls, Bathtub with Yuzu and the Tangyuan for the Northern Hemisphere, and Sunflower Crowns, Sunflower Rugs, Sunflower Glasses, and Maypoles for the Southern Hemisphere.
New Year's Day (December 22 - January 5)
New Year's Day start celebrations from December 22nd to January 5th. Also, to celebrate New Year in many regions, available items include Kadomatsu, Kagamimochi, New Year Shimekazari, Otoshidama envelopes, Osechi, Yut Nori, and Zodiac Figurine that should be rabbits this year.
Bug Off (December 17)
Now, what the southern hemisphere is most looking forward to is of course the last Bug Off of this year. As usual in the spring and summer months, the Bug-Off is held on the third Saturday of each month. So, on December 17, in the southern hemisphere, Flick dropped by to officiate.
Collectible Toys (Dec. 1 - Dec. 25)
In the run-up to the holidays, the seasonal section of Nooks offers some collectible toys. These include the Dollhouse, the Dinosaur Toy, the Kids Tent, the Pop-Up Book, the Mini Circuit, the RC Helicopter the Puppy Plushie, and the Tin Robot. All of these are available from December 1st to December 25th, and are special because they're all interactive.
Post Cards (December 20 -January 10)
Now, it's gift-giving or case sending season, so we can't forget the seasonal Post Cards that are available inside the Post-Off - Air Port for a limited time.
Post Cards such as the Acorn, Carpet of Leaves, Mushroom, and Turkey Day cards will no longer be available from the end of November, but from 20 November you can use the Festive-Tree, the Holiday, and the Warm-Sweater Cards cards in their place Until 10 January, and cards with Snowflake, the Snowperson, the Town-View and the Winter Camelia cards from November 26 to February 24. If you can't play the game over the holidays, this is a great way to give your villagers some gifts.
