Teams must play at least 10 matches to qualify for points in each week. In addition, each player having to be a part of at least 30% of matches that week to earn points. The highest .5 percent of players will also earn a Swift Nether Drake Mount, which will only be available for the first time during the Arena season.

Arena mode was first introduced the game World of Warcraft with the initial Burning Crusade expansion in 2007 and has since been a key activity in the game since then. In later versions of the game players could also compete on Rated Battlegrounds in addition to Arena to gain the game's most effective PvP gear.
