WoW: Burning Crusade Classic Arena Season 1 Begins Today

World of Warcraft : Burning Crusade Classic's debut Arena season has officially started and players can test their abilities against other players in 2v2. 3v3 or 5v5-rated PvP.

Through playing in Arena games, players gain Arena points every week, based on their team's performance, which can later be cashed in to acquire powerful weapons and armor. Teams must play at least 10 matches to qualify for points in each week. In addition, each player having to be a part of at least 30% of matches that week to earn points. The highest .5 percent of players will also earn a Swift Nether Drake Mount, which will only be available for the first time during the Arena season.

World of Warcraft Classic: Burning Crusade Reveal

Arena mode was first introduced the game World of Warcraft with the initial Burning Crusade expansion in 2007 and has since been a key activity in the game since then. In later versions of the game players could also compete on Rated Battlegrounds in addition to Arena to gain the game's most effective PvP gear.

The way that Burning Crusade Classic's Arena system functions differs slightly in comparison to how it was in 2007.
