PoE 2 0.5.5 Disciple of Varashta Summoner Guide With U4GM The Disciple of Varashta is an interesting choice for players who want a summoner build that does more than let minions handle everything. In Path of Exile 2 patch 0.5.5, this setup revolves around powerful Djinns, diverse minion types, and command skills that help you control the pace of combat. With the right skill combinations, you can clear groups of enemies efficiently and maintain pressure on bosses. Managing your gear and progression is also important, so keep your POE 2 Currency ready for useful equipment upgrades as the build develops. How to Start a Disciple of Varashta Build Start as a Sorceress and progress through the campaign until you can complete the Trial of the Sekhemas in Act 2 to unlock your ascendancy. During early leveling, use whichever skills provide reliable damage and survivability rather than trying to force the complete summoner setup too soon. Once Disciple of Varashta becomes available, begin investing in minion damage, Spirit, and useful summon skills. • Early Djinns: Kelari and Ruzhan are useful options as you establish your summoner playstyle. • Passive skills: Prioritize minion-related bonuses while maintaining enough defenses to survive campaign encounters. • Spirit management: Check your reservation costs before adding more permanent minions. If your gear falls behind during the campaign, buy POE 2 Currency can be one option for obtaining the resources needed to improve your equipment. Core Skills and Minion Synergies Kelari, the Tainted Sands, serves as the centerpiece of this build. Kelari's Deception and minion-focused modifiers help strengthen your primary damage source, while Muster rewards you for using different types of minions instead of relying entirely on one summon. A varied army can include: • Kelari: Your main Djinn damage dealer. • Ruzhan: An additional Djinn option as your setup develops. • Skeletal Warriors: Extra bodies that help build a more diverse army. • Skeletal Clerics and Snipers: Useful additions when your Spirit budget and available skills allow them. For further progression, Puppet Master, Archon of Undeath, and the Dominion amulet allocation can help develop the build's offensive potential. These upgrades are better treated as longer-term goals rather than mandatory requirements for a fresh character. Best Supports for Bossing and Mapping Boss encounters reward focused damage and well-timed commands. A recommended Kelari setup uses Muster, Concentrated Area, Kurgal's Leash, Hulking Minions, and Bidding III. Pain Offering provides additional offensive support when you need to push damage during a difficult fight. For mapping, Navira's Fracturing offers another clearing option, but its chilled-ground requirement needs attention. Companion: Plague Harvester and Trail of Ice help provide the necessary synergy. When enemies become dangerous, keep moving and issue commands from a safe position. A summoner can deal substantial damage without remaining directly beside a boss, so positioning is just as important as skill selection. Gear and Defensive Priorities A sceptre with useful minion modifiers is a sensible starting point. After that, focus on Energy Shield, elemental resistances, and minion skill levels. • Weapon: Look for minion damage and relevant skill bonuses. • Armor: Build a reliable Energy Shield pool and cover resistance requirements. • Jewelry: Consider upgrades that improve minion performance or support your defensive setup. • Passive tree: The Fourth Teaching and Sacred Rituals can support the build's defensive direction. You can compare equipment options and look for cheap POE 2 Currency if you need additional resources for gearing. However, avoid spending everything on damage upgrades while leaving your defenses underdeveloped. Is Disciple of Varashta Worth Playing? This build suits players who enjoy combining minion management with active combat. Its strength comes from coordinating Djinn attacks, supporting summons, and complementary skills rather than simply filling the screen with pets. The complete Chaos Inoculation setup is a later progression target, so prioritize stable defenses before copying an advanced endgame configuration.
