Functioning

Usually the rfid lock has two AA batteries as a power supply, though in some cases, the battery used is rechargeable using a USB cable. The seller will usually specify the number of times the lock can be used with fully charged batteries, often 8-12 months under normal usage conditions. When the battery is low, the lock will make a beeping sound to indicate that the batteries should be replaced or recharged. In case the battery is full drained, the lock will remain open, till the batteries are replaced. Usually rfid tags or cards are distributed to all those who are allowed access to the drawer.
