The Atlanta Falcons will have a new home very soon. Owner Arthur Blank and Atlanta mayor Kasim Reed held a news event to Mut 23 Coins announce plans to build a new venue for the Falcons. The two players and council members from Atlanta City Council met at City Hall at 2:30 p.m. ET for the announcement.

The stadium is expected to be priced at a cost of $1 billion, with $800 million coming from the Falcons and Madden NFL 23. The public will contribute the remaining $200 million, with bonds that will be paid through the city's hotel-motel tax. The Falcons are planning to have their new stadium, which will be located within the heart of the city, operational prior to the 2017 Madden NFL 23 season.

In addition to the stadium contract as well, there is also the Arthur Blank Family Foundation and the city are each planning to offer $15 million for the development of the neighborhood around together, for a total of $30 million. The $15 million from the city will be derived from tax allocation district funds and they'll also seek for an additional $15 million in private sector investment.

Terms of the deal also contain an equal opportunity program which requires companies owned by women and minorities when designing and building of the new stadium.

The deal has to be implemented by Atlanta City Council, Georgia World Congress Center Authority, and Invest Atlanta, the city's economic development agency.

The Falcons present home, Georgia Dome, Georgia Dome, broke ground on November. 22nd, 1989 and was first opened on September. 6 in 1992.
