We've been out picking apples in the little orchard at the bottom of our garden – that was perfect because today's wedding happened in an orchard too; George and Courtney tied the knot on 28th July by having an exquisite outdoor ceremony at George's parent's home.

"We checked out a few beautiful venues but soon realized that people had all that people needed already. The garden continues to be the setting for a lot of happy times for family and friends and seemed the most obvious place for our celebrations, we simply needed a light reminder."

"I'd had trouble picturing myself inside a white/off-white/ cream dress. I tried several on and felt so formal. My mum spotted the gown in the nonbridal section and persuaded me to test it on. It instantly felt more fitting for me, the place and your day we were day."

"George and I met at university in Bristol. Since then we've built our way of life together. When we married we'd been together for ten years. We'd become engaged in regards to a year and a half before we've got married."

George looked super dapper inside a blue wool flannel suit, that they had tailored. He paired this beautiful suit having a pair of Doctor Martens as well as an embroidered tie.

"My wonderful friend Emma (bridesmaid in the red) made the veil for me, embroidering our initials and date for the wedding onto it."

The bridesmaids chose their sage green bridesmaid dresses.

Courtney's mother Erica walked her down the aisle. It was a unique moment on their behalf both. They were combined with the sound of Mary Clark's Take Me I'm Yours.

"It's a song we like and chose together. We wanted something fun and expressive."

"As we aren't permitted to legally marry within the garden we decided to get officially married the week before with this immediate family only. We accomplished it in Hackney Town Hall, London. Where I was living at the time. On what we consider our big day we chose our friend Simon to conduct a ceremony for all of us."

The couple hired photographers who they fell deeply in love with for their great style and feel captured their day wonderfully.

Following the ceremony, the pair and their guests celebrated under canvas inside a beautifully decorated marquee that was erected within the garden.

The space was full of trestle tables which were topped with colorful florals and a lot of lovely DIY decor hung from above. There was an attractive handmade rustic vibe all-round.

"For our table plan, we printed Polaroid-style pictures of everyone in our guests to exhibit them where these were sitting and then to who. The pictures helped identify one another if they'd not already met. It transpired rather well as it had been a little bit of fun. The pictures varied from current to childhood snaps. Of course several embarrassing ones inside!"

"We didn't provide any wedding favors. We often discover that wedding favors get left behind at the end of the night and for that reason seemed like a waste to us."

"George loved giving his speech as it had been a special moment to speak to everyone he loved. I loved this too because it was an excellent moment to appear around underneath the roof from the tent in the faces of our beautiful family and friends that had arrived to share our big day with us."

The couple danced to Sister Sledge's 'Thinking of You' within the evening to encourage their guests to the dance floor.

"We wanted a song that people loved and which had a nice tempo that will encourage our family and friends to join in."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"It is always to not focus around the details a lot. And to not worry if something goes completely wrong. The rain on our big day added a giggle plus some drama. We look back onto it fondly."

"I wish we'd not gotten so stressed within the lead-up. As long as you're using the people you like and have good food, music, and drink than anything else just falls directly into place."
