SRH overcome PowerPlay struggles by honing in on good lengths

With only a handful of matches left in the league phase, Sunrisers' chances of progress existed only on excel sheets though they had four matches left to be played.

While their highly combustible batting hasn't come good as often as they wished to, their less fairer discipline, bowling, was almost a non-starter for most of the season. The biggest issue for them has been getting early wickets.

Coming to Monday's game against Delhi, SRH had the worst ER in the Powerplay (10.65) and only Rajasthan had picked up fewer wickets and had a poorer average.

However, Rajasthan bowlers have induced 23.1% false shots in the Powerplay, the second highest among all teams, while SRH managed the second fewest - 16.3% - only ahead of LSG (14.6%).

Of the 11 highest PowerPlay totals this season, four have come against SRH while no other side has featured more than once in this unwanted list. To some at least Sunrisers' new ball struggles was not a surprising given their roster construction that saw over reliance on Mohammed Shami with the new ball.
