Rabada back in India a month after suspension for recreational drug use

Kagiso Rabada is back in India and if all goes fine, he may even be available for selection for Gujarat Titans's next match, against Mumbai Indians, at the Wankhede on May 6.

The Titans are scheduled to travel to Mumbai on Sunday (May 4) and Rabada will, understandably, be part of the squad.

The South African pacer rejoined the Titans squad in Ahmedabad on Saturday (May 3). Earlier in the day he confessed to having failed a dope test for recreational drug, and was serving a suspension.

The Titans have not released a formal statement but it is understood the franchise will seek the advice of the Cricket South Africa (CSA) on the situation.

Clarity will emerge on Monday (May 5), when the offices of CSA and South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport, the national anti-doping agency in that country, will reopen after the weekend.

It is not clear what substance Rabada actually consumed. It could either be cocaine or cannabis. The South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport, which would have tested him, will apparently issue a statement on Monday.
