Nat-Sciver Brunt named new England captain

Nat Sciver-Brunt has been named the new England captain, the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed on Tuesday (April 29). She succeeds Heather Knight, who was at the helm for nine years.
In the wake of poor recent results, Knight was asked to step down from her role as skipper. England endured an ordinary T20 World Cup campaign in UAE last year where they didn't make it past the group stage, and then suffered a 16-0 annihilation at the hands of Australia in the multi-format Women's Ashes.
That debacle led to the resignation of head coach Jon Lewis too, who was then replaced by former player Charlotte Edwards.
The 32-year-old Sciver-Brunt meanwhile, has established her all-format credentials over the last 12 years since she made her debut in 2013.
