Let's meet PE teacher Martin, a project coordinator for any national charity, who wed after thirteen years together on 30 May 2019.

The couple was engaged just for over eighteen months.

"When we first met, Martin was being employed as a personal trainer in a gym that I used and that we got chatting (it had been shortly after that that I started to create better utilization of my gym membership). We met on a night out, me using the girls and him using the lads, then we began to date shortly after. We've been together for such a long time that I think people eventually stopped asking when it had been going to become us. Martin surprised me several nights away in Manchester as a birthday gift and it had been there he asked me to marry him! It was an entire surprise – I genuinely had no idea!"

Rebecca selected the gown by feel times. This boho-style gown features an open-backed, lacy bodice with probably the most exquisite pearl detail around the long sleeves and waist.

The bride's 'Olivia' shoes were a funky combo of velvet and glitter, and oh, how I do covet them!

"These were the very first thing I bought! I fell in love with using the color and textures! I'm not a glittery girl but when you can't possess a bit of shoe dazzle like a bride then I don't know when! I loved the simplicity of the design but they made a statement simultaneously."

The girls' hair was all styled directly into messy, relaxed up-dos and a make-up artist was available to create their glowing make-up looks. The flower girl and page boy made charming inclusions in the wedding party in their adorable grey little girl wedding dresses.

In preparation for his wedding, Martin decided on a slick, slim-fitting suit, worn having a matching waistcoat along with a tie and pocket square in a soft damson hue. His look is modern and sharp, perfect for the clean lines of the venue.

"I gave Martin a watch like a wedding gift, that they wore at the time."

Choosing the bridesmaids' gowns in grey simultaneously as her very own allowed them to match them so wonderfully. They wore all of them with shoes.

"The bridesmaids' dresses were modern but minimalist which made the 'unstructured' bouquets 'pop'. The low back and small train were like the style of my very own dress.”

They chose to let the easy and pared-back character from the mill shine, including a muted color pattern of copper, greys, olive greens, and a lot of greenery for any relaxed but contemporary feel having a personal touch.

"We love the economic style and also the feeling of space the mill gives. The décor paired so easily with this own personal tastes and elegance. It is this kind of effortlessly cool and relaxed space and it also gave us goose pimples each time. We also loved the space was split across separate levels for various parts from the day."

The couple had put a lot of thought into the finer details from the day, obtaining the perfect balance of letting the mill's character shine and adding their personal, stylistic touches.

"We wanted to create a feature from the cakes so chose smaller cakes styled as single and 2 tiers displayed at varying heights. Philippa incorporated several tones of grey from your color scheme into the buttercream filled with macarons and succulents."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Stick together with your original decisions, particularly around the style of your entire day… do not overthink it and obtain caught up with current trends and themes. I began to question whether everything was 'too plain' within the later stages also it wasn't whatsoever. Don't make room for doubt, just trust yourselves."
