Steamforged Games have announced a partnership with developer Jagex to bring RuneScape to tablets later in the year. The MMORPG will receive not one, but two new tablestop versions: a game board game as well as a tabletop role-playing game. The two games draw an inspiration from the world of fantasy in RuneScape, Gielinor. They will make use of all the stories, characters, and locales which the MMORPG has made famous over its lengthy history. As per the press release by Steamforged players are expected to "craft and upgrade their equipment, upskill their characters, cook up special recipes, connect with NPCs and test their talents while exploring different areas of the globe".
