UPDATE [Wed 18 May 2022 02:45 BST]: The Pokémon HOME version 2.0.0 update is now officially live on Nintendo Switch. Currently, the server is still under maintenance, so you may not be able to access the app.

Original Article [Tue, May 17, 2022 03:00 BST]: Over the weekend, The Pokémon Company and Nintendo announced that cloud storage service Pokémon HOME will finally receive an update to make it compatible with the latest entries in the series Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

While no exact date was shared, it looks like we'll get this expected update around May 18 (UTC). As highlighted by Serebii.net, this update will bring the app up to version 2.0.0 - and add connectivity to these two latest games.

"It has been confirmed that Pokémon HOME will be undergoing maintenance from tomorrow, May 18th, 00:00 UTC to May 18th, 06:00 UTC. This maintenance coincides with the release of version 2.0 for Switch and Mobile, which includes connectivity and functionality for Pokémon Brilliant. Diamond & Shining Pearl and Pokémon Legends Arceus. It will run with staggered logins to reduce server load until May 19, 2022 01:00 UTC"

In case you missed the initial announcement, here are some details on the transfer of Pokémon from these games to HOME:

Pokemon Home is an app that allows players to move their Pokemon from one game to another. This means that if a player initially catches a Pokemon in Sword or Shield, they can use Pokemon Home to move that Pokemon to a save file in another game. Some games, such as Pokemon GO, Let's Go, Eevee!, and Let's Go, Pikachu!, only allow users to move a Pokemon once, and can't move it back again.
