Three Precautions For Cable Wire Compression Connection

The compression connection of cable wires mainly grasps the following three links
1. Correctly choose the connection fittings. The specifications, dimensions and material properties of the connecting fittings (including connecting pipes and terminals) should meet the requirements of the cable conductor cross-section and crimping process. The inner diameter of the connecting pipe must match the outer diameter of the cable conductor. The inner diameter of the connecting pipe used for the compact conductor is slightly smaller than that of the non-compact type.
2. The crimping pliers and crimping die should be matched. The technological characteristic of compression connection is that under the working pressure of the crimping pliers, plastic deformation is generated at the connection part of the connection fittings and the cable conductor, thereby forming a conductive path on the interface and having sufficient mechanical strength. The rated pressure and rated working force of the crimping pliers must be compatible with the cross-sectional area of the cable conductor material, the width of the crimping mold must meet the requirements of the joint, and the crimping mold must match the outer diameter of the connecting pipe.
3. Use the correct crimping process. Before crimping, remove the oxide film, oil stains and semi-conductive residues between the connecting pipe and the contact surface of the cable conductor. After the cable conductor is rounded, insert it into the connection part, the insertion length should be sufficient, and the crimping sequence and the spacing of each indentation should meet the process requirements. When the die is closed in place, it should stay for 10~15s to release the die. After crimping, burrs on the surface of the crimping part should be removed. The point pressure pit should be filled and covered with metal shield.
