Accommodation alternatives are plenty in Europe's most popular city, including those who want a 'home from home' rather than a hotel.

In addition to its renowned gastronomy, Paris' distinctive architecture, and the city's rich cultural heritage continue to draw tourists from around the world. There are a variety of short-term apartment rentals available in the City of Lights for those who prefer a more intimate experience than staying in a hotel for a few nights to a few months. You may find our top picks for short-term rentals on the list below.

Booking.com

Booking.com, one of the world's leading hotel booking platforms, also offers a wide range of short-term rentals in Paris, including everything from a few nights to two weeks. There were a large number of driving directions apart-hotels available for our chosen dates. At €150 per night in the 12th arrondissement and €350 per night in the 15th arrondissement, we found studios for rent in July. Everything in Paris, save for wine and baguettes, is extremely expensive.

The Authenticity of Home

If you're looking for somewhere to stay for more than a month, Homelike is your best bet; it was founded in 2015 by two German entrepreneurs who were fed up with sleeping in hotels while working abroad. There is a simple and intuitive user interface with high-resolution pictures and icons that clearly show features. The platform has come a long way since its inception, and it now has around 200 properties for rent in Paris. Small studios in the centre of Paris for less than €2,000 a month were available on our preferred dates. Apartments of double the size can be rented for around the same price if you're willing to live outside of the city center.

Blueground

Those wishing to rent furnished apartments for at least a month may consider using Blueground. Filtering and sorting by dates, features, and pricing makes booking an apartment a cinch. We were able to book several hundred flats in Paris, many of which were located in the city's most sought-after areas, such as Montmartre and Bastille on the Rive Droite, or Luxembourg and Place Monge on the other side. Prices in these locations range between €50 and €60 per square meter, so a furnished apartment of this size would cost you about €2,500 per month in rent.

Spotahome

Out of all the short-term rental platforms reviewed, Spotahome had the most Parisian flats available. It has a similar look and feel, and the functionality is the same: just enter your vacation dates to view a map of all available flats. From a huge room in a shared apartment in the outskirts to a city-center apartment, monthly rents range from €550 to over €3,000. Apartments on this site are generally less expensive than those on other sites, however there is a significant price difference between living in central Paris and living outside of it. When renting a short-term house, you should be aware that Spotahome charges an administration fee in addition to the quoted rental amount.
