The Tork Kratos which was previously codenamed the T6X was unveiled to the public in 2016 and ever since that it has been undergoing extensive research and development. Endorsed as India’s first indigenously designed and engineered motorcycle, the Kratos sports an edgy and angular modern design. Additionally, the upcoming Tork Motors electric bike will be featuring the company’s new and redesigned trellis frame along with a telescopic front fork, rear monoshock, and disc brakes on both ends.

Furthermore, the bike will feature the company’s proprietary operating system called Tork Intuitive Response Operating System (TIROS) which will analyse and compile the data for every ride and will manage crucial components such as real-time power consumption, power management, and range forecasts. In addition, features like a 4.3″ TFT screen, along with app and cloud connectivity, geo-fencing, navigation and anti-theft will be taken over from the T6X.

Powering this electric bike will be a 6kW (peak power) DC axial flux motor, producing 27Nm which will propel the bike to a top speed of 100 kmph and will help it to provide a claimed range of 100 km. Subsequently, the Kratos will come with quick charging which will facilitate a 0-80 percent charge in just an hour. The bike will get an IP67-rated lithium-ion battery pack which will be encased in an aluminium alloy casing ensuring optimum protection against water damages. The Kratos when launched will join the list of electric motorcycles from prominent brands like Revolt and Utravoilette. However, the bike will be able to make its mark on the Indian buyers as it has been developed by a brand that has a lot of motorsport pedigree. The bike will be manufactured at the company’s facility at Chakan near Pune in Maharashtra and Tork Motors plans to sell around 5,000-10,000 units per annum for the first three years.

As for the pricing of the Kratos, it was debuted with an introductory price of ₹ 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom), however, as for 2022, it is expected to have a price revision and it will be launched at around Rs 1.8-2 lakh mark (ex-showroom). It is to be noted that it will be eligible for subsidies from the central and state governments which should slash the price down a little bit.
