The most popular 3 types of Solitaire games: Klondike & Spider & FreeCell.

1. Klondike

Klondike is the most popular version of Solitaire. A 52-card deck is used to play Klondike. The goal is to place them in order of suit on the foundations, starting with the Ace and ending with the King.

The cards are dealt into seven heaps on the tableau (the game area). All of the cards in each pile are face down except for the top card. Players must develop sequences and move them within the piles to get access to and reveal the bottom cards. Sequences are built on the tableau in decreasing order (from King to Ace) and in alternating colors. Only Kings can be moved into tableau slots that are unoccupied.

The Stockpile holds the cards that were not dealt into the piles. These can be used to help players create their own sequences.

2. Spider

Although Klondike is the most popular version in general, "Spider Solitaire" is the most popular among 2-deck Solitaire games. It gets its name from the eight foundations that must be built in order to win the game, and spiders typically have eight legs. The odds of winning a solitaire spider game are said to be one in every three.

Solitaire Spider uses two decks of cards. It can be played with one or more suits, depending on the difficulty level. The tableau is set out similarly to the Klondike, with heaps, a Stockpile, and foundations. The cards, however, are all revealed, and only whole sequences can be delivered to the foundations.

The objective is to construct suit sequences within the piles, beginning with the King and finishing with the Ace. When more than one suit is employed, the game becomes significantly more difficult.

3. FreeCell

FreeCell Solitaire is the most similar to Klondike (the standard version) among the various forms of Solitaire games. It is, nevertheless, seen as a more strategic form of the latter, as it necessitates a more thorough and intentional approach.

Despite this, it is one of the Solitaire games with the highest solvability. It is expected that 99 percent of its transactions are solved.

The gameplay of FreeCell is the most comparable to that of Klondike. It similarly employs a single deck, with the cards placed into seven heaps. However, in this Solitaire game, all cards are dealt and there is no Stockpile. The cards are also visible to the player and facing forward. The idea is to lay the groundwork suit by suit.
