The ratings of Hyde and Madden 22 coins Poyer remain unknown. EA has only released the scores of certain rookies and the top ten players at certain positions. When you compare Hyde and Poyer against other safety features that are in the Top 10, one could begin to make a case about why they should be given higher ratings than some other safeties.

Poyer ended 2020 with 124 tackles. He also recorded five passes that he defended, and two forced fumbles. Hyde completed the season with 70 combined tackles, five passes protected, and an interception. These numbers are comparable with those of Madden 22's Top 10 safeties.

Devin McCourty is a good starting point. McCourty recorded 68 tackles in 2020 as well as six passes he defended. He also recorded two interceptions. McCourty's numbers don't seem to be significantly superior to Poyer and Hyde's. Poyer, at the very least, must be higher than McCourty. Hyde must be in the range of three.

The next player to be compared is Eddie Jackson. Jackson recorded 82 total tackles in 2020 and three forced fumbles. Jackson also had five passes defensed. Hyde's numbers merit a greater rating that Jackson's. Hyde could also be awarded the same rating or one lower than Jackson.

Jamal Adams will be the last player to be judged. In 2020, Adams recorded 9.5 sacks and 83 tackles in a combined effort. He also defense of three passes, and forced to forfeit a ball. Adams is an outstanding pass rusher, but as an individual safety, he's most certainly not Top 10. Adams is a useful weapon for defenses to have, but Poyer and Hyde are both better pure safety players than Adams is, and they are better than Adams in the position of safety in Madden 22.
