Ultimate Roast Beef Sandwich Recipe: Perfect for Any Meal

Ingredients

 

  • 4 to 5 slices of roast beef, preferably thinly sliced. 

  • Beef broth (if preferred)

  • 2 slices of mild cheddar cheese or provolone cheese. 

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise. 

  • Freshly ground black pepper. 

  • Olive oil or cooking spray

  • Brioche bun

1½ teaspoons finely grated horseradish. 

  • ½ cup of baby arugula

  • 2 tablespoons of fried (caramelized) onions. 

Instructions

 

  • First, split the buns and toast them lightly. For this, heat a large skillet over medium-high flame in the oven. Brush the insides of the buns with olive oil or cooking spray. After heating the skillet, cut the buns side down and place them on the skillet. Toast them for 1 or 2 minutes until the insides are properly browned. 

  • Remove the buns from the skillet once done, and spread ½ tablespoon of creamy horseradish on all the buns. 

  • Now, in a bowl, stir the horseradish, mayonnaise, and plenty of black pepper to create a smooth mixture. Once ready, spread the mixture on the bottom buns evenly. 

  • Now, you need to put the beef slices on each of the buns. Those who would love to heat the beef slice can use store-bought or homemade beef broth. For this, bring the broth to boil in a pot. Then, dip each of the beef slices in the broth for about 20-30 seconds. This will heat the slices without any chance of them being overcooked. 

  • Now, add the cheddar cheese or provolone cheese on top of the beef slices and add the arugula as well. Sprinkle the caramelized onions on top and place the top bun!
