To a certain degree, I can Animal Crossing Items see why cultural appropriation is a issue. Taking something from a civilization and using it in a disrespectful manner. Like making a significant heritage to a joke is pretty shitty. However, so long as the source is respected, or not direspected, limiting things depending off ethnicites or at which you live/were born is asinine. Learning from eachother is a good thing, wisdom and ideas should be shared, not restricted without good reason.

Cultural appropriation is taking an important cultural element that has significance/is sacred from the original civilization, and utilizing it since you enjoy the appearance of it/ it's"exotic" and"trendy." It's especially a problem once the original culture is generally erased by the borrowing culture.A good case in point is sporting Native American headdresses. Those are generally earned, and not just anyone can wear them. It would be like somebody wearing a purple heart because they thought it looked cool, but we have the extra layer of this US genocides of Native Americans.

However, I understand a lot of bitterness comes from individuals with heritage from other cultures trying to embrace this heritage as kids while growing up in westernized society and getting made fun of by other kids because their clothes is indeed different, and so on, just to find out that now they are mature, what they were made fun of for as kids is currently considered"trendy" by the kind of people they were buy bells animal crossing new horizons teased by. That bitterness is understandable.
