About the BTS stuff, thanks for the RuneScape gold ideas. We are in the process of moving towards being more development-update orientated which should give more of a sense of what you're searching for. We are very much committed not to announcing things too early to prevent mistakes of the past, however in precisely the same time, we want to increase transparency alongside that rather than you feeling more in the dark due to it. We are coming up with plans for how we hit that balance at the moment and hopefully whatever we come up with will feel closer to what you've described!

What I described to you is exactly what Jagex did for many years until Mod Warden came about and put a stop to it. Because some thing which was great was ended for no reason with no replacement, many players in the community are mad at Jagex. I'm quite glad to hear that it can be coming back but it should never had left. Additionally I wish to continue to reiterate something which I'm afraid you guys don't understand: The error in the past was not that Jagex declared something too early, it was that you did not properly convey its progress, plan changes, and rationale behind everything.

The biggest example would have been the bank. It had been something that had development blogs and effort but has been pushed aside due to Mobile. Mobile was a priority that is larger and required the engine team which was the exact same team needed for the bank rework. This was NEVER communicated. We were just told that the rework was on. Even though this it was suggested several times that Mobile was the reason behind the delay, it was never explicitly said. Every time a comment on reddit said it had been shelved it triggered a huge backlash. Partly because the word'shelved' is misunderstood, but mostly because Jagex did not convey it.

Then maybe add a new tab section to the news upgrade where it clearly states upcoming updates / changes into RuneScape and they're not live yet? You men went back and updated the wording on the post, which will be amazing and all, but could have been avoided all together if you'd placed it in a more appropriate spot to begin with. I think that the point that Rubic makes in his post to you holds merit. There would be no need to have content like this in update posts if you guys brought back videos and BTS news posts.

There is nothing wrong with supplying a month look forward as long as you men include a disclaimer that this is precisely what is planned rather than guaranteed AND that any delays are suitably communicated with updates regarding progress provided occasionally. You guys did comparatively well with the communicating about the Archeology delay, but you dropped the ball on communicating it is progress to the cheap OSRS gold point players began joking about it with joined the shelf like all the other updates that get hyped but then delayed indefinitely. The RS3 group should get its crap and correct.
