As most well know at this time, the Microsoft Store is the principal reason behind the issue related to PSO2 Meseta for sale no longer functioning, even after successful installs. Fixes in the neighborhood were recommended to bypass the launcher, or utilize PSO2 Tweaker to get Phantasy Star Online 2 running more reliably and smoothly, but with PSO2 Tweaker, the problems were still hit and miss. Many users discovered that PSO2 Tweaker simply added another degree of issues to troubleshoot.

I tried every single advocated fix, including PSO2 Tweakers launcher piggybacking on the Windows Stores initial 11GB download, but the results rarely lasted more than a few hours with repeated attempts of starting Phantasy Star Online 2 several times through the day. While the lobby fix of renaming the launcher did help in cutting performance hitches, I couldn't get Phantasy Star Online 2 to quit breaking up, until the latest upgrade that PSO2 Tweaker published, which allows for players to circumvent the folder hierarchy Windows imposes, and install Phantasy Star Online 2 outside of where the Windows Store can touch. The installation instructions for PSO2 Tweakers standalone installation appeared simple enough, however, it wasn't without its share of issues.

The initial install downloaded Phantasy Star Online 2 after a few repeated attempts at closing and reopening the program. Following the setup, you need to alter the application permissions to programmer mode, and execute a powershell script as an administrator to allow the Microsoft Store to comprehend and supply the credentials you will need to run Phantasy Star Online 2. My very first try at this wasn't profitable. I had been getting several errors associated with not having the ability to download the necessary files. I had to undergo several manual powershell commands to reach the point where I could conduct the powershell script to eventually get Phantasy Star Online 2 to launch.

Phantasy Star Online 2's problems, I feel, weren't just entirely preventable, but they have let down a lot of players who have been looking ahead to Phantasy Star Online 2 for the larger part of 8 years. Anyhow, at no stage was I barred completely from Phantasy Star Online 2, as I could have jumped back to my XBOX, but the problems players have undergone fall well outside of easy"launch day issues". At best, the disappointment gamers believe towards Microsoft and SEGA to deal with a job as simple as keeping Phantasy Star Online 2 installed is completely justified, and deserves more than a straightforward apology. At worst, Phantasy Star Online 2 might have eradicated the willingness of new players to stick it out until things get much better. Occasionally you really only get one shot to make a first impression, and also in minimum, Phantasy Star Online 2 has me much more wary of using the Microsoft Store later on.

With all of that said, and a weeks-worth of headbanging and keyboard slapping in the rearview mirror, the third party PSO2 Tweaker eventually got me to a state where I could reliably run Phantasy Star Online 2, at least up to this stage. It was not easy, and it certainly hasn't been the kind of experience I anticipated, but I can not deny that the PC version, once fixed, is much superior in several ways into the XBOX One variant. For those that were having difficulty, for the ones that are still interested in playing PSO2 now, there's a path to buy Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta playable, paved by a community that refused to give up.
