How to attach the lure?
In fishing, skillful use of lure-tying techniques is one of the essential factors in determining fish catch. Different fishing scenarios require various lure-tying methods. Therefore, as a qualified fishing enthusiast, you must master several basic lure-tying ways. This article will introduce several familiar methods of tying lures to help you fish easily.
San Diego Jam Knot
Originally developed as a fast and reliable way for fishermen to tie heavy "iron" jigs while chasing tuna on long boats venturing into Mexican waters, it is quick and easy to tie. Hook the lure or jig to a stationary object and pull firmly to make sure the knot is fully secured. Use this knot or the Paloma knot when fishing with a braided line.
1. Thread the end of the line through the eye of the hook or lure. Let a heavy lure hang down or hold the hook between your pinky finger and palm.
2. Wrap the end of the tag around your index finger and double-twist it 7 times, up to your eye.
3. Feed the end of the label between the double lines under the last loop, then return to the loop made with your index finger. Go through the loop and remove your fingers.
4. Moisten the lines and pull the label ends taut. Slip the knot tight to lure and clip the tag end.
Yucatan Knot
Used to connect thicker wire to lighter wire. Overlap the lighter wire by about 8 inches and then line up with the heavier wire. Fold the lighter wire in half and wrap the heavier wire six times. Thread the heavier line through the loop at the end of the lighter line and pull tight.
Rapala knot
This knot is used when the lure requires freer movement. Tie an overhand knot six inches from the end of the string. Thread the line through the lure and then through the loop in the knot. Wrap the wire three times and thread the end through the loop again. Thread the ends through the new loop and pull tight.
Above are some basic decoy knot methods, I hope to be able to help you.
