CLEANING DRINKING STRAWS BY HAND AT HOME

Step One

Note: All of our straws can be washed in the dishwasher. For our straws painted we recommend hand washing only. These guidelines for hand washing are applicable to any size straw that can be reused, whether it is in raw silver or one with a painted finish. Rinse the straw with hot water. Ideally, you should use an uni-directional sink or smaller tub filled with soapy water.

Step Two

Clean a straw with the straw cleaner brush and rub a little dish soap until it turns sudsy. The soapy brush should be pushed or the twisted pipe cleaner forward and back throughout the straw as well as around its exterior to eliminate any drink residue or debris. It is possible to require more brushing for drinks with pulp, such as smoothies. Brushing is not as important for non-pulpy drinks or water.
